LYRICS
Hopelessly naïve, with a hint of blue
It’s “The Wonder of You”
It keeps me still, mesmerised
Moondance, Late for the Sky
Green, green, meadowlark
For the Roses and Court and Spark
These were mine before I knew
Your favorite album is Blue
The turn of your smile
the touch of your cheek
We spin Astral Weeks
Love so real, like lovers know
Tapestry, then “Heart of Gold”
Green, green, meadowlark
For the Roses and Court and Spark
These were mine before I knew
Your favorite album is Blue
Helplessly, I float away
In the spell of your lavender incense
The world could crash and fall away
And I wouldn’t even notice
Suddenly serene, a long goodbye
"Suite: Judy Blue Eyes"
A Pink Moon on the rise
Tea for the Tillerman,
“Come Down in Time”
Green, green, meadowlark
For the Roses and Court and Spark
These were mine before I knew
Your favorite album is Blue

ABOUT
When first released in December 2023, we also did a separate acoustic mix with just my one guitar part and Annie Bacon singing harmony. I was told several times that they like the sparse version better. So before heading back into the studio, I released this specal Acoustic Mix version. Hope you like it too.
“Favorite Album is Blue” was written as a song assignment at Lamb's Retreat for Songwriters in November 2022. The assignment was to write a song about two kids spinning records. When I envisioned them, I saw Joni Mitchell's Blue album in the girl's hand and many classic albums scattered on the floor. Classic 70's song and album titles are intertwined in the lyrics as I tell the story of these two kids spinning records and her favorite album is “Blue”.
